Does it look like: yes, it's the same software.

Program > Fonts: I can test the font only by choosing one from the list and clicking 'Test' button. A window with all characters is displayed. No other options.

PDF > Fonts: Two checkbox appear, first one is 'Embed all fonts' which is checked, second 'Change the font when % of characters in use is lower than...', which is unchecked (there's also an inactive form to insert %).

Font seems to be available in PDFCreator, since it is displayed in Program > Fonts list of fonts.

OK, I've solved the problem. When you click 'Print' from MS Word, there's a window with the list of your printers, where PDFCreator must be choosen. Than click on 'Properties' (still on the level of MSWord), and 'Advanced' in the window that appears. There's an option of print quality set by default on 600 dpi.

When this value is increased to 720 dpi or any larger, printing from pdf file results in a good quality text, which is indistinguishible from what is printed directly from MS Word.
