Resolved question

I have a set of results about one MSE vscan result, but...

by ksakil - 12/21/13 4:31 AM

I completed a deep scan using the microsoft vscan. I had to reported viruses attached to a Program I deleted (at least mostly...another thread)

I was given the message below:

Category: Tool

Description: This program is used to create viruses, worms or other malware.

Recommended action: Remove this software immediately.

Item 1:

containerfile:F:\Applications\UTILITIES\Other Misc Utility Software\Fly A Kite OS X Look Alike\FlyakiteOSX%20v3.5.exe
file:F:\Applications\UTILITIES\Other Misc Utility Software\Fly A Kite OS X Look Alike\FlyakiteOSX%20v3.5.exe->(nsis-6-wfpdisable.exe)

Item 2:

Category: Potentially Unwanted Software

Description: This program displays deceptive product messages.

Recommended action: Remove this software immediately.

Items:
containerfile:C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ReviverSoft\Registry Reviver\InstallCache\{353CDAB5-D3E1-4DC6-868F-9495E267FEE7}\Registry Reviver.msi
file:C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ReviverSoft\Registry Reviver\InstallCache\{353CDAB5-D3E1-4DC6-868F-9495E267FEE7}\Registry Reviver.msi->Data1.cab->_D112D7A9F3F97ACA6506830ABF733E9B
regkey:HKLM\software\Common Toolkit Suite\RCPRO

Item 2 is a evidently a legitimate virus it appears. It looks like a registry key, but I can't be sure.

Item 1 is attached to what I can only imagice are the remnants of a misunderstood OSX emulator for windows (I didn't realize that I would lose the original XP program files with unremoveable alternate icons (another post))

Can someone give me a straight answer about Item 1?

Thanks for your assistance
