Advice sought on best antivirus and anti malware product
by ulysses2013 - 8/16/13 8:16 AM
I bought a new Win8 desktop and it came with Kaspersky trial version. I bought Kaspersky some years ago but free versions of AVG and Spybot free were recommended to me by a computer repair engineer.
My old desktop was protected by AVG free version. I ran scans using free versions of Spybot, MBAM and SuperAntiSpyware about once a month, or when I had any concerns.
I have carried out research and I am wondering whether to purchase Bit Defender 2013 rather than use AVG 2013 free.
I know that no one product offers 100% protection. I would welcome forum users opinions. I appreciate these are likely to be diverse, but shall take them into account before making my decision.
I see that you can buy several years subscriptions to a product and thus save money. What are forum users thoughts about this? I am dubious, because another company's product may offer much better protection the following year.
