Help infecting a computer

I need help infecting a training computer at work to train employees on proper virus removal techniques. I was looking for a way to get a malware or virus that would be similar to the Windows xp recovery virus. I have had no such luck in finding anything, so any help would be appreciated.

This is such a bad idea on so many levels. For example that ZEROACCESS rootkit is quite hard to remove. And we have those trojans that allow a lot of OS damage that even if you remove the virus/trojan/rootkit, the damage remains.

Your post makes me think you might be new to this work.

I suggest you think about prevention next.

This machine is isolated and on a virtual machine so any damage caused would not affect anything other than itself and it is easily trashed. It is just something that will be used as a training tool for visual aide and interaction with what could possibly go wrong and what measures could be taken in these circumstances.

Hunt down the current baddy called ZeroAccess since I've yet to find an easy removal for that one. Also find something that converts all the user files and encrypts them.

This way you can teach them that backup is not optional and removal is never a sure thing.

I'm not kidding. These infections are not getting easier to remove. Folk that don't have backups may scream the loudest and I see this as the beginning of more folk moving to tablets.
