Easy to type passwords ok with 2-step verification?

Secure passwords are no fun to type. Passwords like 4*5B%BW90iIzA^e may be difficult to crack, but keying them in is a pain, especially if you have to do that multiple times a day.

If you use two-factor authentication is it safe to use a simpler, easier to type password, such as egglamb? With two-factor authentication, a hacker can't break into your account even if he or she figures out your password. Two-factor authentication requires something you know, your password, along with something you have, such as your cell phone, to access your account.

If you have two-factor authentication (also called two-step verification) is it okay to make life easier by ditching one's strong, yet complicated password, for a password that's easy to type? It seems to me that it would be okay to use an easy to type password if you also use two-factor verification, but perhaps I'm missing something.
