Does AdAware do anything more?

Does AdAware do anything more than my Eset Smart Security already does? I don't want to clog up my computer with unnecessary programs, but do want to be safe.

Dump it, the less the better. Eset, the real one, should be sufficient. Stay away from the freebie items, typically those touting to fix everything, ESPECIALLY anything related to the registry, avoid like the plague!

Anti-Spyware programs do detect/protect some of the things an AV program will miss. I do not suggest adaware however, it's old school, and not what it used to be. MalwareBytes AntiMalware (MBAM) is the program you should have. The pro version will protect you from a lot of things that can get past your AV program. I use Comodo internet security, MBAM pro, and the free version of SUPERAntiSpyware, for on demand scanning. I, and most people that know a little about computer security would agree. MBAM is only 25 dollars for a lifetime license, a good deal for the protection it provides. I would get rid of adaware, and get MBAM at a minimum, and if you don't mind manually updating, and running scans every now, and then, SUPERAntiSpyware is the other choice.
