If you put any file on a shared drive and allow it to be "read", then it can be copied. Simple as that. . You can usually prevent "sharers" from editing or changing the file (set permissions correctly), but if it can be viewed, it can be copied.

The industry dropped what must be a few billions trying to lock down digital content and you can see how that turned out.
