Fewer than 100 people arrived at the Facebook CEO's Palo Alto, Calif., home Saturday thinking they were there for his girlfriend's graduation celebration. Instead, the two shared their vows.

By almost any standard, Mark Zuckerberg has had a week to remember. Yesterday, he started his day off by ringing the Nasdaq bell and taking his social-networking company public, raising $16 billion in the process. Earlier in the week, his longtime girlfriend Priscilla Chan graduated from medical school. And today, just for good measure, the two shocked a bunch of friends and family with a surprise wedding in the Facebook CEO's backyard.

A look at Zuckerberg's Facebook page reveals that he is now "Married to Priscilla Chan." That was not the case yesterday, the day that the company went public in a spectacularly hyped IPO that may have ended up a bit of a dud.

Zuckerberg's married status gets 1M likes.

Once word got out that Facebook's CEO had married Priscilla Chan in a secret ceremony, the rush began to Mark Zuckerberg's Facebook status update.

Weddings are always a big deal, but some transcend the usual hoopla and well-wishing. Will and Kate. Kim and Kris. Luke and Laura.

To that list, you can now add Mark and Priscilla. While there was no run-up to the nuptials of Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan, the weekend wedding of Facebook's co-founder has certainly captured the world's attention.

Since word got out late Saturday about the secret ceremony earlier in the day, more than 1 million Facebook subscribers have clicked the Like button for Zuckerberg's change of status to "married." In a less precise sampling, of the 731 comments at this time, "congrats!" seems to be the favored message to the newlyweds, with a "mazel tov!" here and a "woo-hoo!" there.

Chan's status update on Facebook, meanwhile, has garnered more than 39,000 likes.

A little over a month ago the State of Utah discovered one of its servers was under attack, reportedly by Eastern European hackers.


That's almost one year to the day of a similar data loss incident suffered by the State of Texas of eerily similar circumstances.

The attackers gained access to a server used by the state to receive Medicare, Medicaid and children's health service claims.

Unfortunately it is a reasonably common practice for health care providers to submit information on other patients as well, simply to determine if they may qualify for coverage.

This means that the victims aren't limited to those receiving subsidized health services from the state.

On March 30 the attackers began siphoning the names, addresses, birth dates and other personal information of 500,000 Utah residents. The attackers were also able to exfiltrate that data and the social security numbers of 280,000 additional residents.
