But let's ask a question. Are you expecting these to stop bad results from users that visit shady sites or install bad apps?

Why I ask is that almost all the big exploits require us to do something to let them install. Yes, the Social Engineered Exploit is a work of art but folk still need to help them along.

--> Maybe Microsoft is right to lock down Windows 8 on ARM to not allow any app outside of the Microsoft App Store.
Would that be better?

I use non-real-time scans and find nothing but the occasional cookie. But I don't use Internet Explorer, I do use WOT and AdBlock Plus on another browser plus any preview/image load is turned off in email.

It's very boring but who wants the excitement of finding that latest trojan?
