One of my folders is a win7 ultimate (sp1) system carried a unique locker icon
<img alt="" src="http://i42.tinypic.com/1zqwmqt.jpg" />When I check its security permissions, the list includes a read permission to "WMPNetwork SVC".
Is it a security problem? Should I drop to user from the list? Should I do anything else?

http://www.blackviper.com/windows-services/windows-media-player-network-sharing-service/ shows what it is. If you happen to share your media across a network, it should be there. If you don't, you can stop it.

WMPNetwork SVC removed, Lock icon remained

Thanks.
Since I'm not connected to any other user on a network' I stopped the service and deleted the WMPNetwork SVC from the list of users.
Still, I'm puzzled. The folder I'm reporting about still carries the lock icon. (See below)

Hi jonah.
Are you familiar with the Gordian knot story. Your solution is very similar. I copied the relevant folder to another folder and tried to delete the source. Deletion completed easily.
Problem, no more. Why? God knows.
