Spyware, viruses, & security forum: The first Ipad virus?

I had the idea all apps in the Apple Store pass a high security certification before is available for end users.

I don't have viruses in my own pc since 1998 because I always use firewalls, updated antivirus, use standard accounts instead of admin ones, never visit unknow webpages, and follow all security web practices.

But I had the wrong understanding about Apple products and Apple Store. I NEVER expect UNSECURE apps in apple store. This is really a real big issue.

I understand your point if I go to a webpage and purchase or download an app for my use requesting my access data, but this is not the case, this is why Apple store exists. But the reality is different and we will never trust in apps there at all. At least no in apps who request access to sensitive data like email and social network accounts. no anymore.

want access to. Most people don't do that and these scammers know that. Apple products have always been safer until recently but these scammers are smart and NOTHING is safe any more. The market people, both Apple and Google do their best to check everything but there are so many it is not easy. Just be diligent and you will probably be fine. I rarely checked reviews on anything in the past but I always read them when now it comes to apps because usually other users will report a scam there before the market people take it off the market.

I check today in Itunes, my Apple ID account, History of applications purchased and I don't see the application name.

As soon as I get back to home and get access to the Ipad, I will review the list of apps in App Store to check the app name.

I'm wondering how Apple engineers allow this in the App Store?

That's been discussed but it's pretty simple really. Something will get through.
