Virus won't let me boot up

Virus won't let me do ANYTHING?
I have windows xp. Its a dell vostro 1500 laptop

A few days ago, I got the av securty suite virus. It wouldnt let me access my security programs. I run safe mode with networking, do the malware bytes, mcafee, AND spybot scan. They detect and remove stuff.

It comes back. I didn't even download porn this time.

I then run safe mode again with networking. This time? even after being updtating, malware bites doesnt detect anythign neither does search and destroy. Mcafee wont let me open

I strt it up again, now i cant even load in safe mode. I was going to try system restore, but now, I cannot even get to a safe mode or anythign. Only thing that will work is F8, or the boot menu (F12) or the Setup F2

What can I do. I cannot afford to take it back to a computer shop and pay 80 ****** dollars JUST FOR A DIAGNOSTICS. What can i do please help college is strting again soon. And im about to lose my mind

There are other Rescue CD's available to you, in addition to what Ondrej has suggested. Avira's may be the easiest, as it comes with a comprehensive tutorial. You will have to create the CD on a clean PC.

As noted above, there are others. Panda offers "Panda SafeCD", if you wish to give that one a try. That said, I prefer Avira's Rescue CD.

Once you're up and running, have a look at "How to remove AV Security Suite (Uninstall Guide)". You stated you removed AV Security Suite, but it came back. Does the possibility exist, it was never completely removed the first time around? If you haven't tried the above method using Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, you might want to consider it.

Thanks for your help guys. I burned that antivirus cd (on another comp) and booted it on my broken comp. It scanned and I followed the steps

Unfortunately, this did not solve the problem or let me boot into windows.

So I burned a windows xp sp3 cd and tried to boot that. This cd did not even boot up. So, it must be my RAM or hard drive..

20 minutes ago I just caved in and turned my laptop into a computer shop. 200 bucks in the hole, but I have no other options. Colege starting in about a week...
