My old Aol / AIM account has been hacked: HELP!
by Ferkit - 4/26/10 4:08 PM
I left AOL years ago, but it seems my never-used AIM account is still alive, and has been spoofed. Someone - or Some Thing - is spamming my entire AOL address book. Tried to disable the account, without success.
What do do? I have alerted recipients of these emails not to click on anything, mark as spam, etc. I have ESET Nod32 on my PCs - I haven't clicked on anything myself, and scans are clear.
What to do? Googling, I see that this is a widespread problem.
Thanks in advance!
