But in my understanding, it's a generic detection by MBAM on a file that is packed (archived/compressed) but suspicious or acting as malware or similar.

They need to fix it but you have to send them a copy of the detected file.

You solved it though by removing the files
I hope there's no next time which I doubt because scanners' FP are getting frequent nowadays, but if ever you will see this kind of incident again... I think it's best to send to them the questionable files by their scanner so they will double-check and adjust their detection. If it's important files or files you trust and been using for years, and not detected before, it is likely an FP only. You don't need to delete or remove your files because of an FP.
