Unauthorized emails to Russian addresses

Hello. Every day I get notifications that emails I "sent" were undeliverable. Sometimes as many as 20 messages or so. The addresses to which these mysterious emails were sent end in ".ru", which i assume is Russia.

I use Zone Alarm Security Suite firewall and anti-virus, as well as Spyware Doctor to help protect my system. I would appreciate any suggestions on getting rid of whatever is apparently using my desktop to launch emails to Russian companies.
