that you don't integrate the Clam AV during install. Reason: a few users have repeatedly posted problems with this, especially with the current version. Some users have also posted about ST using a lot of memory...hasn't been a problem on my computer. Options are available during install/setup.Options are also available for the WSG (sort of like SiteAdvisor) which requires installation of the toolbar. Up to you.
ST's main strength is its realtime shield, and HIPS. If you aren't familiar with the concept of HIPS, might pay to leave that for now. (Default is off during installation.)
SAS is probably a superior scanner-I don't really know, but it has direct disk access, and lots of very good reviews, and ST pretty good resident protection, especially if you learn to deal with the HIPS component. Much superior to the other free resident, Windows Defender, IMO.
