editdata.mso in email attachment

I have a colleague, who uses Outlook at home to send personal emails. We found that all the email that we received from her contain attachment of a file, named "editdata.mso". And some of the emails (replies) contain many copies of the attachment of the same file name. She said that she didn't attach this file and didn't know what it is? Does anyone know what "editdata.mso" is? Is it a virus? Could her computer be infected?

I've tried google, and found that .mso is a Microsoft Office macro-related file. It is created when the document contains macros and OLE Objects as a Web page. And it contains information about the macros and OLE objects and provides the related support to the Web pages.

But, I can't find any articles that have instructions to stop Outlook from attaching these editdata.mso when the user send email. If I set the Security Level to Very High at Outlook for Macro, such that only macros installed in trusted locations will be allowed to run. And also set the Message Format to compose message only in Plain Text. Would these stop the program from attaching the file again and again?
