Spyware, viruses, & security forum: f-secure HOW GOOD IS IT?

Amoung these previous posts on that subject. I went to search at the top and typed in f-secure, found all these posts.

They have an Internet Security package program which includes a number of separate security parts. Or are you using only the antivirus?

As mentioned on these forums before, there is no "magic bullet" that will prevent all types of malware from causing problems on your computer.. It takes a combination of tools, including knowledge and common sense to prevent malware issues. No matter what program you have installed, don't open strange e-mail, don't use P2P programs, don't visit dubious websites, etc..

Most advise using at least an antivirus, a firewall, and one or more antspyware programs for maintaining a secure computer.. There other items such as SPAM blockers, pop-up blockers, etc. which may also help.

If your F-Secure program doesn't include a number of the basic tools above, then you may need add a few things.
