Curser out of control

My curser continually drops to the left side of the screen and then goes up and across the screen to the right. When it gets to the top I regain control of it, until I type again when it will do the same thing.

Any ideas?

2 Ideas: Check in Control Panel>Mice>Buttons Tab....

make sure "Turn on click lock "is unchecked. On Pointer Options Tab ensure "Snap To" is unchecked. In worst case on Hardware Tab>properties>drivers: Try "roll back drivers" if you have installed new drivers for a new mouse( some mouse drivers: Logitech etc are including spyware in their driver disks) or try "Uninstall drivers". When you do this your mouse won't work. Shutdown computer, and restart by pushing button. Plug 'N Play will find your "New Hardware"(mouse) and install a refreshed copy of the drivers you just uninstalled. I find this often improves behavior of mouse & cursor.
