Alwaysup Trojan Horse

my antivirus software found the alwaysup trojan horse virus and i tried to remove but it wouldn't let me delete it. then i ran teh scan again but it didn't find the virus the second time. i even tried the safemode.

if someone knows how i can find the virus again and delete it?

as it apparently is constantly downloading new files and new versions of itself. Perhaps it's file name changes with each attempt to remove.
Calls out on port 80. I think safe mode scan & removal best bet and will infest Sys Restore so you'll have to disable (dump) that. More here:

Possibly Donna or Maryanne will have more tips. You could try a search of files by file size looking for file size:36,864 Bytes. Good luck ! HTH! happy

Please download a free evaluation copy of a trojan scanner and perform a trojan scan. Be sure to update first. This program should be used in conjunction with an AV as it is a dedicated trojan removal program.

Are You Using NAV?

Sometimes NAV reports this in the IE temps, and shows that it is 0 bytes. Because it is 0 bytes in size, it cannot delete it. If yours was located there, and you have cleaned your TIF's, your problem will be solved. HTH
