"Quick Web Search" and the imposter Internet Explorer logo

I'm not sure if this is severely malicious spyware or a bad trojan virus, but I'm having really big problems with my computer. This is the worst it has ever been...

My about:blank homepage has been hacked to have a "Quick Web Search" search box featuring a fake Internet Explorer logo. I also get "Only the Best" pop-ups fairly often. My computer has also severely slowed down and has frozen many times.
