Given the massive Interstate system it makes sense to me
as a way of coping with the external lunatic threat the US faces but, of course, James and I see things differently.
I had hoped that the Homeland Security Agency would make a noise like a hoop and roll away after Bush left office, but I guess it was too entrenched by then.
As to your Blessed Leader crack, I have already posted about how disappointed I am in Obama's Presidency. I don't feel he has stood his ground sufficiently strongly against the Republican opposition and I am appalled at their behaviour in insisting on super-majorities on every vote so as to ham-string his ability to act. It was the Republicans who acted first in this charade, employing tactics the Democrats never have, and certainly didn't in the face of Your Dear Leader G W Bailey, damn, I always make that mistake, he was the guy who played Rizzo on MASH, GWBush whom you and many others insisted we make obeisance to. G.W. Bush took the "Presidential signings" to unheard of heights in a climate when he could have had anything he wanted. Obama has used it purely to continue the governing that is his charge. He has been left no alternative. And he's still well behind Bush in using it as a tool, but of course, neither history or accuracy or simple statistics cut any ice with you. That's not a personal attack, it is a simple observation of how you have posted in the past.
