since March, I have not gone more than three days in a row without rain......and I'm talking heavy downpours not just drizzle. Never turned on the a/c this year because I've only had four days of temps in the 80's. Mostly low to mid 70's since June, some lately in the mid to upper 60's during the day and getting into the low 50's (a few high 40's ) at nite already. I didn't put in a veggie garden this spring because I couldn't get a break in the rain long enough to get it going and am glad I didn't bother....most would have rotted in the ground from too much water for the first time in years. I suspect that if my moisture (coming back at me tomorrow for days on end and only had no rain today...yesterday I had an hour's worth and it quit early enough in the afternoon to let the sun start to dry it off so I got my mowing done today) is going to stay around for such a long period of time that it will turn to snow and get me about 3-4 feet on a pretty constant basis this year. Got up this morning and my kerosene monitor set at 58 degrees and never comes on until late fall was already running, that's how cold it was in the house at 6:30AM. Got to 71 here today but the mowing got done at least. I will have the generator ready to go because I really believe I will be needing it again........but I have a huge willow tree near the house that is scheduled to be cut down because the main trunk has split wide open, it's on a creek bank that faces the house about 25 feet away and I fear it will fall into the house this winter after all these years. I can't trust it OR the weather to make it through one more year.
