Anything which kills multiple people at a time as opposed to
unconstitutionally invading a woman's personal right to determine what she does with her body makes more sense to me. I don't like or approve of abortion, but when I am presented with a choice between personal liberty, and forced pregnancy without support or help during or after, I am forced reluctantly to chose personal liberty. That's the issue, Liberty. Sometimes Liberty poses uncomfortable realities.
You can pull all the sophistry you want regarding pregnancy, but without the womb, which is the mother's body, nothing comes to term. Are you aware that in excess of 1/3 of all fertilized ova fail to implant? Your next move is to arrest women for unknowingly having passed fertilized ova simply based on their use of birth control which proves they are sexually active. The Handmaid's Tale is only a heart-beat away.
Either people in the US are free, regardless of race, creed, or gender or they are not. You can't say "You're a woman so the rules are different for you. The government can tell you what you can and can not do regarding pregnancy."
You don't like the simple registration of firearms, or registration of their purchase or of the purchase of ammunition given a death toll annually in excess of 30,000, but you have no qualms about eliminating access to clinics which offer a wide variety of health services because they might possibly offer abortions. Nor do you see anything wrong with putting as many hurdles as possible in the path of women who would like to have an abortion for personal reasons within the time limits suggested by Texas legislation including unreported rape or sex while passed out (frequently involuntarily) from drugs or alcohol, so that they end up as late term abortions instead of at 15 weeks. And I gather that you're opposed to Plan B which is no different than an IUD in that it prevents implantation. There is no rationality in your arguments, despite all your convoluted and selective reasoning.
If you want to expand the problem of single parent families, and children born in poverty, you're on the right track. You're neither rational nor sensible, but you're on the right track. See you in Lac Megantic. I'll be the one with the fire hose trying to put you out before you burn to death.
