'some believe it's circle'
The Bible says "circle" in the Hebrew, which word could also mean a sphere. But only a sphere seems circular from any viewpoint- a circle seems elliptical as one moves away from head-on, then finally a line.
A better point: Why did Isaiah pick that word regardless of semantics?
How did Job know 'the earth hangs on nothing'? (Job 26:7)
The full verse of Isa 40:22-
"There is One who is dwelling above the circle of the earth, the dwellers in which are as grasshoppers, the One who is stretching out the heavensw just as a fine gauze, who spreads them out like a tent in which to dwell"
"Raise YOUR eyes high up and see. Who has created these things? It is the One who is bringing forth the army of them even by number, all of whom he calls even by name. Due to the abundance of dynamic energy, he also being vigorous in power, not one [of them] is missing."
Science tells us now that "gauze" is an accurate description of the large-scale universe.
Dynamic energy is, by the inverse of Einstein's equation, the cause of the universe.
"Do the math" Little bit of uranium at White Sands = very big bang
Lots and lots of energy required to create a little bit of mass.
How massive is the universe?
