$85B from a $3.5T 'budget', but they can promise to give the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt $250M plus 50-60 F-15's and 200 tanks? Are you freaking kidding me?

that a fun, cool, fast (very fast) moving toy (most cars) will kill just as many, if not more, than guns in this country.....Why aren't you screaming at liberals to reduce the speed limit (called governors) of those vehicles down to no more than what the road speed limits are? After all, 'any other toy linked to that many deaths would be pulled from the market very quickly', right?

"unlikely"

In a very unstable environment...unlikely isn't anywhere near a guarantee.
I could see giving Egypt BEFORE Morsi the money because even if the previous leader was a dictator, he actually controlled the Suez Canal and kept Israel safe for all those years. Morsi actually OPENED the Suez Canal for Iranian ships a month or so after his 'election'.......'unlikely' seems more and more like 'likely' to me.

Overall, including all military and diplomatic costs and other aid, the U.S. has spent at least $767 billion since the American-led invasion, according to the Congressional Budget Office. National Priorities Project, a U.S. research group that analyzes federal data, estimated the cost at $811 billion, noting that some funds are still being spent on ongoing projects.
Sen. Susan Collins, a member of the Senate committee that oversees U.S. funding, said the Bush administration should have agreed to give the reconstruction money to Iraq as a loan in 2003 instead as an outright gift.
Bush administration should have agreed to give the reconstruction money to Iraq as a loan in 2003 instead as an outright gift
Give it as a loan?....That's an original idea.
You got the same crap from Bush as you're getting from Obama.
The more things change the more they stay the same...Was Bush From Chicago? or was he part of the Texas Mob?

In Reply to: RE: using the money WE give them by JP Bill
to be some kind of agreement with Iraqi leaders that they would use their own oil money for reconstruction once the country stabilized and oil lines were repaired, etc.....then the new leaders who were elected pulled back that deal. By that time we had a Democratic House and Senate and they never did anything about pulling back funding for the reconstruction even though financially things were going south here in the USA. It wasn't only Bush.
Funny how liberals keep using the word 'invasion' or 'occupation' in order to dismiss the war in Iraq,,,,,,,even though they voted for it, including Susan Collins.....AND she voted for the money spent there.
Hindsight is wonderful, ain't it? Especially when you consider that she not only voted for a TEN YEAR expense account for Iraq AND Afghanistan to the tune of $750B TOTAL for both wars ... AND turned around and voted FOR the BO Stimulus at a cost of nearly $1T ALL AT ONE TIME. She's been around since the Clinton years......hasn't got much credibility with me on her voting record to now be able to criticize it unless she's willing to publicly admit she's not very fiscally responsible with that regard.

It wasn't THAT long ago there were too many Conservatives.
hands on millions of our dollars AND our planes AND our tanks,
How does that work anyways?
Someone gives you money and tells you you have to buy products made in America, AND the weapons that you can purchase with this money, are inferior/not as advanced as to any of the products you are selling/giving to the other parties enemies?
You can have these toys but their not as dangerous as the toys I'm giving to your neighbours...So don't get any bright ideas?

has already passed WITH bi-partisan support a bill stating that if the SENATE doesn't pass a budget this year, no senators will get paid.......even some of the Dems on the House side agree that the Senate, led by Reid, are following BO's strategy of leading from behind by doing nothing at all. And, as I've said before, the entire strategy for the last two years and for the next two years is to make life as painful as possible for the people in order to blame the Republicans, causing the House to regain control. With that in place BO's LAST two years will be just as it was for his FIRST two years.....complete control over all three and pass every single insane agenda he has.

He's a walking puppet with someone's else arm up his asssss with Chicago advisers surrounding him pulling strings and giving him strategic moves to make. They've always been there pushing a smiling, charismatic idealogue in the direction they want him to go and he does it willingly because he believes the same crap they do. email that was discovered yesterday saying exactly that to department heads, Josh......I'm not delusional. I'm realistic about what to expect from this a..hole. $50M for new TSA agent uniforms but shut down the WH tours and keep making the same threats about departments that will take the cuts knowing they don't have to when he has the power and authorization from the House to pick and choose where to make them (even after he turned down that authorization). Now why would a President turn down that offer if he cares about the people as much as he claims to? Do you know we now have every fleet ship docked in Norfolk that should be out on deployment or scheduled to go out......cancelled all of them, but has extended the fleet already on deployment in the Gulf of Iran to where those guys will be gone for OVER a year, which is against the military rules of deployment for Navy personnel. All the families of those who were scheduled for deployment three weeks ago already had given up apartments and homes and moved at their own expense to go home....deployment cancelled the day before they were supposed to leave, separating families now by hundreds of miles and no money to bring them back. Good job, BO....our national security is up for grabs. As one of the sailors on one of those ships in Norfolk just said.........."We should put a sign up basically saying......Here we are AQ....schedule the next Pearl Harbor anytime"

If you read the link, you would know what you refuse to see.....
>>>In the email sent Monday by Charles Brown, an official with the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service office in Raleigh, N.C., Mr. Brown asked "if there was any latitude" in how to spread the sequester cuts across the region to lessen the impacts on fish inspections.
He said he was discouraged by officials in Washington, who gave him this reply: "We have gone on record with a notification to Congress and whoever else that 'APHIS would eliminate assistance to producers in 24 states in managing wildlife damage to the aquaculture industry, unless they provide fundingto cover the costs.' So it is our opinion that however you manage that reduction, you need to make sure you are not contradicting what we said the impact would be.">>>
The reply came from 'officials in Washington' saying that 'however you manage that reduction, you need to make sure you are NOT CONTRADICTING WHAT WE SAID THE IMPACT WOULD BE.'
Now....if the Prez said everything would be bad, bad, bad, they better not contradict that.
And the last paragraph might still be seen by you as 'paranoia' but evidently that feeling and opinion is gaining strength......>>>There's something additional at work here too. Two of Obama's major initiatives, his health care law and his EPA regulatory state, were predicted to be job killers. They have proven to be job killers. But Obama is now hoping to use the cover of sequestration to blame his dismal economic record on Republicans. Whatever lie gets him through the day.>>>

Again, you're quoting one person's CLAIM that it said that, and even that doesn't claim that the president has a planned, scoped out agenda to make The People suffer for some sort of political gain for his party.
I can claim anything I want and in today's news environment, probably get some press out of it. I want to see corroboration of this man's claim, and further proof that this was all part of a planned strategy by the president.

The reasoning is common sense.......he has to make good on his word, and fault the Republicans. You fill in the blanks as to why he needs to blame them knowing the next election could make or break BO's last two years' worth of agendas.
I've been saying this for weeks.......now it seems some of the media has caught up to my thinking.
