They agreed to secure the border with funding for it and give spending cuts IF Reagan agreed to give amnesty to 3M illegals. He did..........they didn't do either of their promises.

however, that distrust is very real and hard to shake when you now have a president and administration that keeps changing the goal post on deals they supposedly make 'in good faith' and lies to the American people on a daily basis. So why NOT bring him up as a good example. Liberals have short memories when it comes to their screwing the people, but Conservatives have the elephant as their mascot for a reason........

Do you honestly believe that a President should retaliate (your word) against a party that doesn't agree with him or who screws him over? If so, you are obviously very happy with BO since you still can't find anything to complain about him after five years since he uses Chicago tactics on a daily basis.

They not only have an extremely long memory and passes those experiences down to their young, but they are sure-footed, don't stumble and can actually come up behind someone in a forest without making a sound.....making them very dangerous as well.

cooperation, you get 'leverage'........if nothing else, the Republicans have learned from the Dems, BO, and this administration. Do you think the Dems haven't been 'sneaky' in how they have pushed their agendas? Don't you think it's time for what you linked to as 'confused' Republicans to switch that around? Even the press is getting around to understanding that BO really doesn't like them much and that he doesn't think he 'needs' them to 'leverage' his positions for him anymore.
