other than what already exists, Josh........Homeland Security could help solve this problem but nobody is bothering to talk to them about this. Terrorism is the 'game' that gangs play so why not make them pay the price for that?

As for the Mafia being involved in everything you mentioned......do you honestly believe that they weren't in bed with the Unions from the very beginning and stayed there for nearly a hundred years already? How many union heads were involved in the pyramid scheme of taking the money from their members and investing in Vegas casinos way back when? How many stole those monies and lined their own pockets? The Mafia as we knew it may not exist much anymore, but they have only changed their wolf's clothings, not their ways, and appear to be much more legit now. If they aren't still involved with the Unions, they have many union heads that learned from the best at keeping the status quo going in all areas you mentioned.

two mentioned recent events and the belling of a cat. "Belling a cat" is a metaphor for extreme bravery (or perhaps stupidness) in doing something that's very risky. The noted news events and the alluding to "you ain't seen nothing yet" probably fill in the rest of the puzzle.

Of course there's "chimney corner scripture" which says, "sit on your butt, wait for someone else or God, and do nothing".

like the apostle said, not being a part of the world, but not going out of the world, nor entirely separated from the world, we do what we can to change the world for the better. Also the dream of Daniel had the kingdom of God growing as it rolled down the hill, not getting smaller and weaker, until it hit the last worldly kingdom and brought it down. The gospel is for "every nation". Everything about the "wrath of man" in the NT is basically a restatement of what was already said in the OT, so obviously now, as then, God expects us to work out righteousness, render justice, as needed, when needed. We've been over it before, even to Jesus who didn't tell the soldier to leave his duty but to abstain from violence and robbery of anyone. As the Apostle stated that those who wield the sword to keep order are "ministers of God". That doesn't mean all have to serve in that capacity, but they shouldn't bad mouth the ones who do that work of God, often on their own behalf.

Paul says bad things would happen and keep happening. Most of the specifics can be applied to the people involved in the incidents I mentioned, and others. One can easily apply them to Paul's day, including the things he experienced. But he says "in the last days".
Can your plans, or any others you know of, prevent these things? Can they undo the harm? Paul relied on Jehovah to do both, in our near future. In the meantime, without a power that strong, the world will not get better, it will get worse. In spite of "the best laid plans of mice and men".

When do criminals ever follow the law, Josh? ONLY the law-abiding citizens WOULD. And you saw how quickly gun sales went on the rise once the announcement by BO was made that he was planning to put together some type of gun control. ALL law-abiding citizens were buying them up before they're all gone because that's the ultimate goal of gun control activists, and you know it. If the citizens buy them all up, the stupid law will protect the owners because they will be grand-fathered into the law. Pretty damn stupid to try to pass a law and warn everybody ahead of time that it's coming, doncha think? And it isn't gonna pass.......not even in Reid's terrain (the Senate) which is why he hasn't presented the one Feinstein wrote. This is all bluster and garbage again.......typical BO crap.......threaten something knowing it will never get passed then throw up his hands and say "I tried but those damn Republicans blocked it again".

of making it more difficult to get a gun will be as effective a deterrent as making it truly scary to have and use one in a crime. While I'm not all that thrilled about wondering who walking near me is armed...legal or not...I wonder even more how much that same feeling worries a criminal looking for a victim. I also wonder how many criminals would pause and reconsider pulling out a gun knowing that, if caught, they'd be put away for a very long time. I don't think we can get good stats on our wonderings but we do have plenty of stats on how things are working now.

harder on the criminal gun buyer as well by making it a law that if the gun they purchased off the street was used in a murder before that person's purchase, that person also gets charged with murder, just like a driver of a get away car in a robbery gets charged if one of his partners in crime kills someone during the crime itself?

If criminals are even a little leery of accosting someone on the streets or breaking into a house because the victim might be carrying, then they might be leery of buying a gun off the street when they don't know it's history either and would pay the penalty for that crime in addition to any they commit with it.

break into houses.......especially ones where the home owner's address was given out publicly regarding gun ownership. They'll just wait until they 'believe' the place is empty. Leery is one thing.......stopping entirely is another. And no, criminals don't 'work'.....it's much easier to take what they want rather than work for it and our current laws make it even easier for them.

as if you don't know that they do both......but if they can save their money and steal it easily, don't you think they would rather do it that way? An old saying......why buy the cow if the milk is free.......
