Sadly, it will fall on deaf ears. There are those who would take our rights away from us. They would see us as servants.

Why so much in USA?

Why is so important to use guns in USA and not in Europe? And second amendment say about militias. Are they still in USA?

I lived in Greece for 3 years. I'm quite familiar with socialism there.
Who was president then?

No socialism i Greece since long time. But militar dictators with help from USA. Because president call himself socialist does not mean it is. Many call Obama socialist and he is not.
The people who call him a Socialist.....

....have little or no idea what a Socialist is, and probably have even less idea how much Socialism is already ingrained in American domestic policy, Socialism they're probably enjoying the benefits of, or will be.
Ironically some of those same people like to compare Obama with Hitler and Stalin. Yes, seriously.

Police Come To Pick Up Pieces. Where Was Her Gun?

It would seem she didn't have one. She depended on her phone, 911, and the police. Guess what? It all failed her, and now she's dead. This happens over and over again, to those who are not armed, even at home.
Woman Killed In Home Invasion AFTER she called police.
"Despite her grief, Lorna Gable said she was also relieved because she believes her mother is no longer suffering.
"It's a relief that she's hopefully in a better place," she said.
Lorna Gable called sheriff's deputies at 4:24 a.m. Jan. 19,
saying there was a man in her house in the 900 block of West 40th
Street.
The intruder confronted Gable, beating her with a Maglite. He
also attacked Gable's husband, William, before stealing money and
valuables.
He fled before deputies arrived.
Gable's death follows several others that are the focus of
$30,000 in rewards offered by the San Bernardino Police Department in
January.
Wanda Lee Paulin, 86, Mary Beth Blaskey, 76, and Josephine
Frances Kelley, 90, were killed in home-invasion robberies between 2005
and 2012. "
Josh about to lose police power in NYC

Loving this! Gun manufacturers are lining up to refuse any sales of guns and maybe ammo to any state of New York police depts and not just them but any govt agency located within the state of New York due to their gun control laws and proposals for more gun control. I hope they keep it up and if they find any of those agencies purchasing through out of state, also cut off those sales too!!! They've also decided to no longer buy advertising in the Fraternal Order of Police magazine as in the past. I hope this movement continues to grow!
NY police soon be back to billy clubs only?
"Firearm manufacturer Olympic Arms announced that they will no longer sell to New York law enforcement in protest of the gun control laws recently passed there. " Olympic Arms will no longer be doing business with the State of New
York or any governmental entity or employee of such governmental entity
within the State of New York — henceforth and until such legislation is
repealed, and an apology made to the good people of the State of New
York and the American people." Olympic Arms and LaRue Tactical are not alone. Extreme Firepower Inc, Templar Custom and York Arms have also thumbed their nose at gun control and are halting some or all of their sales to government agencies."
The only one of those proposals.....

......that calls for people to give up something they already possess is the one on high capacity magazines, and that one makes no sense at all. How can you require people to sell something when the people buying it would be breaking the new law by doing so? I'd like to see another source for that proposal, and who was behind it.

from a picture on a pro-gun web site. The quotation is:
"With all this 'gun control' talk, I haven't heard one politician say how they plan to take guns from criminals, just law abiding citizens."
And this IS a fact.
No, it isn't

Better legislation will make it harder for criminals to get guns.
Nobody ever said it would make it impossible, just more difficult.
Please, Josh!

I hate to say this but you're living in a dream world. Criminals are getting guns now and there are over 20,000 laws on the books!! More difficult? Please. There are black market dealers all over the world and in our state that can get any gun made. And the criminals do not obey the law.
Please tell me you don't really believe that stronger or broader laws will prevent any kind of criminal activity. Drugs are illegal. How's that working out for you?
And I'm still waiting on ANY politician to detail how to keep criminals from getting guns, or getting the guns from criminals. Still waiting.
Following that logic.....
by Josh K - 2/21/13 6:34 AM
In Reply to: Please, Josh! by Coryphaeus
.....we should just abandon all laws, remove the bullet-proof barriers in banks, take the locks off our doors, legalize all drugs, etc. since anyone who wants to commit any kind of crime will find a way to do it.
Guess who's been fighting to prevent enforcement of those "20,000 laws." Guess who got a rider added to a bill removing the requirement that gun stores take an inventory once a year. An inventory, Wayne. Whose privacy is being violated by a gun shop making sure none of its stock has been stolen? Guess who got the law changed to make it nearly impossible to name a permanent director of the BATF.
Yes, cracking down on the ways criminals get guns will make it harder for them to get guns. Not impossible, but harder.
which does more to stop crime?

bullet proof barriers or bullets into the bad guy? Making things safer for the bad guys by everyone depending on protective devices alone obviously isn't working. Dead criminals do not commit new crimes.
so make all crime a death penalty

Like stranger rape. I leave off date rape due to some possible doubt. I'd leave off known prostitutes for the same reason of possible doubt.
DUI which results in other's death.
2 or 3 violent robberies involving injuries but short of death to others.
Probably some other instances that should deserve it.
does rape have the possiblity of death sentence

in most states that have a death sentence.
I sort of get why you feel there is less doubt in a stranger rape conviction than a date rape or rape of a prostitute, but I'd hesitate that being the only criteria for allowing or not allowing a death sentence.
I thought generally murder, rape, and kidnapping were the possibly death sentence crimes, depending on the circumstances of each.
As for being a stranger making it a death penality, people do meet and go off together the same night. No matter what you make of that regarding morals or wise, how much difference is there between stranger rape and date rape there?
I guess you're thinking more along the lines of the stalker type of rape? I think it's more prevalent than the just walking down the street, picking out a victim at random and grabbing her, although that can happen.
Drugged rapes? How you you treat the "date rape drug" cases?
You didn't mention the other very different rape, gang rapes. Hear the news recently about the trial in India where some woman was raped by a crowd of guys on a train then thrown off the train naked? Her father committed suicide over the shame, misplaced soceity values there.
gang rape
by James Denison - 2/22/13 10:26 PM

would likely be covered by stranger rape. As for "date rape" I would classify that as where a relationship of a sort was preexistent and therefore more doubt exists regarding any conviction. For those one night stands, the stranger rape should exist, guys be warned. If a person was drugged before rape, that could be considered the same as violence.
I don't think rape is a death sentence in any state in America unless the victim also died.

Moveon goes after the NRA
Wait a minute. The guy talks about the NRA buying votes in congress. Wasn't moveon dot org one of the major contributors to the Obama campaign that even got a private meeting session with him after the election to discuss agenda items for his upcoming term? I remember it being reported that closed door meetings were held with both moveon and the unions. Is it just me or does something smell fishy here?

The court decision allowing superpacs ties the imminent domain decision of a few years ago in injustice and disregard for the small guy.
What I see in moveon is not that they espouse ideas

but they are a hit squad. I've never seen them support or promote an ideology, economic or social agenda...nothing. They are out to assassinate someone or something. Moveon is a PAC and the NRA has a PAC component attached to their organization. They aren't strictly a lobbying group such as is moveon. I just found it strange that moveon was reported as getting a special audience with president Obama right after the election...that it was behind closed doors and was to discuss agenda items...whatever that means. Could that mean that our president, who avowed not to live by PAC agendas, is now using one to advance his own? I've been quite open that I don't trust the guy or anyone who's background comes from social or political activism. That's exactly the course this man has taken since he entered the workforce. As such, he'd need to be skilled in the art of deception. I'd say he's master at it.
