Prosecuters want Amish man jailed for life

You get less time for rape and robbery. Just put him in the stocks in the town square for an afternoon. Geesh.

The operative word there is "sought." The prosecution is aiming high so the judge won't let him off with a slap on the wrist. I very highly doubt he'll get life.

From what I remember, this guy is the Amish equivalent of a mob boss. The beard cuttings were part of a larger campaign of intimidation.
