Saw Zero Dark Thirty. I think it's a remarkable film

exceptionally well written, filmed, directed and acted. I haven't heard an audience so quiet in so many years that I can't actually remember a film to compare it to. Not Hollywood at all, despite it being a species of Hollywood, albeit of an independent brand. Tension not overdone, gore not overdone and therefore more realistic, but definitely shocking at times. Worth more than one viewing IMO.

In a fight between Lincoln and Zero Dark Thirty, I'd give them both Best Picture for the year, but I haven't really seen enough movies this last year to offer a truly informed opinion, except to say that both of them were way beyond my expectations.

Recently saw an editorial that was unhappy with the film

because of the inaccuracy.

It doesn't claim to be a documentary officially, but there has been a bit of subtle push that it shows how things were.
