Do you even know what a "pied noir" is? Algeria has been a time bomb since the 50's berore Ben-Bella led it to independence from the French after a brutal civil war in the 60's. It harboured Yasser Arafat for quite a while. Islamists have been a vicious presence there through the Clinton and Bush Presidencies carrying out terrorist attacks against the innocent in order to introduce a theocracy like Iran which may not have been covered by American media (but it was) that you remember, but which were covered in Canadian news and by the BBC.

Consequently I think your dumping the blame on Obama is more knee-jerk, racist, Denison bilge.

Just because you don't follow the news about it doesn't mean that the things I cited didn't happen. Here's a thought, next time you feel the desire to post more unresearched, uninformed, unsupported cr*p, check the historical record. Or watch the NewsHour on PBS. Or go to a BBC web. But check your assumptions at the door first. Because virtually everytime you open your ... Computer ... you shoot yourself in the foot, or you shoot your, for lack of a better word which is accepted by CNet, idea in the head.

Of course Libya isn't the question, the question you posed by posting is Algeria, and my answer still stands. You've been called for ignorance. Do some research or sit on the bench. Try Wikepedia on Algeria starting in the late 50's. (I have no idea myself how deep their article is. I just know what I have read in the newspapers.)
