Mitch McConnell tries to filibuster his own proposal

This is too rich for words -- McConnell tries to back Harry Reid into a corner by calling for an immediate vote on the debt ceiling issue, expecting Reid to refuse. Instead, Reid, says "OK, let's do it" and McConnell then tries to derail his own proposal. Hilarious!

And if you think back-pedaling a bluff is bad, what do you think about the top Dems trying to delay the tax on medical devices that comes Jan 1? See topic I posted earlier about 'Dems are hypocrites'.......

It's 17 senators. I haven't read enough about it to know if their concerns have merit, but believing a tax should be delayed doesn't sound like hypocrisy to me on the surface.

You won't be allowed to say anything not already in the Tea Party Manual. The words Obama, Democrat or Democratic will be banned unless attached to some piece of scurrilous race-baiting fiction. Rice will only appear if it is preceded by Condoleeza or followed by "and Beans".
