'Storage Wars' is rigged: Lawsuit

LOS ANGELES - The popular TV show "Storage Wars" - in which treasure hunters bid to buy unseen items in abandoned units - is rigged, with producers sometimes planting valuable items among the junk, a former contestant said in a lawsuit on Tuesday.

David Hester, one of the reality TV show's longest-serving cast members, said producers buried a BMW Mini under trash in one unit featured in the A&E cable series, and a pile of newspapers announcing the death of Elvis Presley in another.

"A&E regularly plants valuable items or memorabilia," Hester charged in his lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday against the cable channel and the show's producers.

They almost always, just before they cut to commercial, have someone (that Daryll guy is the most annoying) "discover something" and says...OH Yeah!!!...this is what I'm talking about.

House Hunters is often fake too

People have come forward saying that friends' houses that weren't even for sale were used in cases when the couple had already chosen a new home before the show was filmed, and that many of the house tours are staged after a decision has already been made, among other acts of fakery.

some of us KNOW those are rigged, others have yet to discover it. Peter Arnette was one of the biggest frauds in his days with CNN.

Reality, fakee stuff

I think many of the 1st shows are the best they have to offer. Anything after is bound to be contrived, as i don't see how anyone stumbles onto this or that on a weekly basis. One reason I rarely ever saw such shows no matter what the subject matter. Hey, it can get interesting, but see if they find a "mummy" in some corner or something. Maybe, that's why nature shows seem to captivate me, who knew this or that was going in the back yard. However, I do like the Antiques Road Show. It's what? and worth $250K ------Willy happy
