Speakeasy forum: Why aren't the liberals bragging

Will older individuals be expected under Obamacare to pay more, or will it be a per person charge for the coverage? Is that fair? If there's an age scale for who pays how much for care, won't that also have a negative effect on employment for those past age 50? Isn't that what we see now with the current insurance coverage, whereas at present an older person could waive the insurance in order to secure the job, which wouldn't be possible under Obamacare.

You know, the ones spitting on returning soldiers, even wounded ones?

in both the media and here in SE when the rate dropped from 8.1 to 7.9, even though the numbers were crapped out because so many left the work force for good (many who lost their unemployment benefits actually applied for and got on Social Security Disability for 'mental stress' issues or other reasons that might not have kept them off a payroll if they hadn't been laid off so this way they didn't have to look for work anymore)?

Since liberals just love giving freebies, why aren't more of you guys celebrating all these new disability claims? Could it be because none of them will be eligible for the Federal Medicare program for two years, but most WILL qualify for State Medicaid so the talks on reforming Medicare can continue to be held off and make liberals look like they're out for the 'little guy' knowing the main expense for taking care of these people medically falls on the shoulders of the State?

When people watching the news and Social Security comes up, most automatically think of 'seniors' and liberals want to keep it that way........you never hear about all those people on disability benefits....so when liberals insist on not upping the retirement age, they give the impression that they are looking out for all those 'poor' seniors, while the whole time they aren't telling people about the millions that are nowhere near retirement age but are still collecting from that same system (along with children).

The fact more people are disabled or the fact they will be getting paid for being disabled.
