that I believe the IEA report that we will be in that kind of shape in 7 short years even if every private drilling project brings in massive amounts without Federal interference and all the Bush permitted drilling gets productive. If their projection was true, we would already have been independent. BO has already shut down 1.6M acres from oil reclamation in the last few days and continues to do so. We DO have the largest oil reserves under the ground and could easily top anything Saudi Arabia has every dreamed of; however, BO will never allow it to happen and have those sales here in the USA........if nothing else, he will have the majority of the oil shipped overseas and we won't see the benefit of lower prices and oil independence at all because he hates fossil fuels here. It's only ok to ship them to countries overseas. This is another reason his 'climate change'/carbon crap is hypocritical.......he knows that the countries with the worst pollution will do nothing to change their methods and they are the ones that will get the oil. We'll pay the price for this garbage one way or another with this prez.

A question that must be considered is what the UN will consider "adequate laws." Will the globalists at the UN consider the Second Amendment's guarantee of the right to keep and bear arms without infringement to be a sufficient control on gun ownership?

The effort at eradication of private gun ownership is more insidious than it appears, however. On page 25 of the 1997 UN Secretary General's Report on Criminal Justice Reform and Strengthening Legal Institutions Measure to Regulate Firearms (of which the United States was a signatory) a part of the regulations that we agreed to impose is a psychological test before one is allowed to purchase ammunition.

Apparently, the UN recognizes that without ammunition a gun is no more than a club, so in order to effectively disarm a population, the UN does not need to seize all the weapons; it merely has to prevent purchase of ammunition.>>>

Ending a Treaty can't be done through a Constitutional Amendment because the Constitution is silent on how to deal with them; however, there are ways, including two that Clinton used.

What is even scarier than an open Treaty that the public knows about ahead of time are "Executive Agreements"........wonder if that's what BO had in mind when he told the Russian rep "I'll have more flexibility after the election".

Doesn't that look suspicious to anyone else. The Oil Companies have been playing the "reduce production to drive up the price" game again.

And don't tell me the oil was too difficult to recover at the old price. This is as clear an indication of collusion as I've ever seen. The Oil Trust, which has colluded repeatedly in its own interests and not that of the citizens of the US throughout the 20th Century, are still playing their old games. During the 70's they said that all the Oil resources in the US would be exhausted by 2016. Now the US is set to rival Saudi Arabia. Utterly ridiculous.

They were drilling off shore in the 60's, and they had done extensive surveys plotting the oilfields, the same with the Arctic. My uncle was involved in the early exploitation of the Arctic in Canada via joint ventures during the 60's and 70's. He'd been an oil man since the 20's, and was our rich relative, half a dozen properties one of which was this spectacular log mansion. I never heard him say a word about dwindling resources or excessive cost of production.
