the new America is one where someone with the worst record in presidential history and never before has someone been voted into that office with anywhere near what he has stats for, could actually be re-elected based on a platform of promise, divide, conquer, smear, and lie. The theme from the beginning of the Rep candidate debates was "kill Romney" and that train never slowed down once. Reid announced before the election that he would never pass anything in the Senate if Romney made it.
So we are $2B spent on campaigns later, with a prez who never stopped campaigning even after he was sworn in the first time around, and we are $16T deeper in debt with no hope in sight because he plans to triple down on his agenda, and the theme again is to 'break the Republicans'. It didn't happen.......the House is still there, Pelosi rumor has it is on her way out the door finally, Reid will continue to pocket any bills the House sends over, and nothing will happen again for the next four years, and the great deliberate divide will continue.
For those who were polled ahead of time and claimed to be Independents or Moderates, the Republicans will have to take a more serious look at what that means in today's America......it appears that there were many more liberal moderates in that group. If nothing else, we learned a valuable lesson from last night.......like House always said...."Everybody lies"....just some much more than others.
Something else we have to learn from this is to start the Primary Presidential candidates' debates sooner and hold the conventions earlier so the incumbent doesn't have so much heads up time to get their ground game going months ahead of the challenger....and free up the challenger's money earlier instead of making the winner wait until the convention before it can start being spent. The way it is set up now, the incumbent always has the advantage because he can also use taxpayer money to campaign and use a 'Presidential meeting' as an excuse to get away with not having his own campaign foot the bill.
Something that got mentioned last night was that the New America is going to be around for a while and Republicans have to take a new look at what it is......18% Hispanic, 19% single women, and nearly 22% youth under 25. Those groups are notoriously activist types and will vote Democrat every time.......and they ALL want STUFF. If the Dem running, challenger or incumbent, promises them all free stuff, they are already in his pocket, and the electoral state votes are going to go Dem without fail every time because they already have a jump ahead percentage wise of the Republicans before the votes even get cast. And that's what got BO the vote last night.........
