Say Josh, now that Obama got his quick photo op with the storm and the campaigning is over, he seems to have time to play basketball. If he can now spare time for that, shouldn't he be able to spare time for the people in the storm area who are in a bad shape? A lot of people lack food, water, heat and shelter. Why can't he get off the basketball court and or his rear end and help those people? Forget FEMA, why does he not personally order the necessary things to be immediately sent to where it is needed. As the saying goes. "When in command - Command!" I think he needs to go to his desk and start directing relief to where it is needed.

His campaign bought $5,000 worth of groceries from a Wal-Mart and then staged a donation event where people pretended to donate the stuff his campaign had purchased.

The things you're expecting him to do -- most of them can and should be delegated, and I'm assuming you had the same expectations of President Bush after Katrina?

It looks like that storm can affect those already hit the hardest by Sandy even more than those who lucked out. Isabel almost came overhead but skipped behind the mountains and did us personally more damage than Sandy, which came closer with it's eye. A friend near the Maryland-Penn border north of Baltimore had it come right overhead, but he lucked out too on escaping unscathed other than usual branches down. They are going to need to move some of those people out of the area to find them enough lodging aren't they?
