Should that number grow? I'd think we'd be better off it could be reduced. Didn't this administration actively seek food stamp enrollment for those who were not receiving them but might be eligible? For whose benefit do you think that program was really for? Surely he wasn't hoping this would increase his voting base, was he? If the 47% is real and are solid Obama voters, he can't say "I didn't build that. Someone else built that."

And, sorry, with the newer gas mileage mandates, cars will necessarily become smaller and seating may become less. Someone will need to ride on the roof.

I could believe that this president would rather grow than shrink it. He's been dividing us into the good guys and bad guys ever since he got into office and he's been championing the causes of those he considers to be the good guys while growing their numbers at the same time. The food stamp push was part of that. Don't fool yourself into thinking the man just has a big heart. Read about his training and what he taught as a community organizer....that one's motivation needs to be to advance your own self rather than gain the feeling of doing good for others.
