There's a minor scandal here over Cabinet Ministers expenses

for an economic meeting in Davos, Switzerland. Davos is a small town, and the three Cabinet Ministers and one Senior Civil Servant rented not one limousine, but 4, at a total cost of $20,000 or more for the two days they were there. It does not help that at least some of the Cabinet Ministers have triple chins. Beside the short distances covered at such great expense is the suggestion that walking the 5 or 8 blocks to the venue would have been better for them than riding.

I posted a comment on Yahoo News: "Typical Tory behaviour. Austerity is for everybody else." and have been inundated with thumbs up notifications.

Well, if anyone has triple chins, walking was not the custom regardless if needed. However, walking may do-in anyone in that condition. wink It doesn't surprise me or anyone else that has to really work for a living find some at the bequest of govt. service take advantage when they can. the only thing anyone that is the "public" to point out such extravagant displays and make them public and drum them out if that's the typical gauge of govt. service. -----Willy happy
