For the life of me I can't see where you could see this kid as a white supremacist in the near future and doesn't even know what is his own sexual orientation yet. The article mentions death threats against the pastor but no threats by the pastor or the kid. There are looney tunes everywhere and there may be some who'd even kill 3 year old kids out of hate but when is a 3 year old dangerous?

is another opportunity for them to stir up trouble over what could be nothing if just left alone. Maybe you see this as what could be a growing movement. I don't. At 3 years old, he doesn't have the ability to truly hate anyone. He will develop his own thinking in due time.

So what good purpose does it really serve to give media attention to a 3 year old in a small Indiana community in this way? Is it's design to make a better world? I don't think so. It's design is produce news where none really exists. Hey...maybe they can get a "million rainbow march" to swarm the town and demand the tot's arrest. That would make 'em happy. Good grief, man...let it lie.

I too worry about what the kid will grow up to become since he seems to come from a family that is intolerant. Some kids grow up to parrot their parents beliefs, some fortunately grow up to cast them off.

how many songs of our day did we sing as kids and not even understand what they meant, or missed some innuendo or implication in the song?

2 posts by the same person, with 2 different explanations of the comprehension abilities of a child.

Do you think Sam knew what he was relating OR does it matter if he understood or even misheard what was said?

if he continues on that path as his own decision, he's entitled to do so. We cannot correct intolerance in others by being intolerant of them. This was one short video of a kid in the spotlight acting for the crowd. For the time being, I don't feel comfortable passing judgement or taking action. If he becomes real threat later...and not just in his vocalizations...there are proper means to rein him in. I've more faith in the human spirit than to intervene as the result of some dumb news video.

The good qualities of the human spirit are a gift from God...as are also the bad. Our job is to recognize and use these gifts appropriately.
