Happy Mother's Day

We stopped by Bob Evans after church. Waited about 15 minutes for service. Once were asked if we'd been waited on and was told she'd tell our waitress. Waitresses talking behind the counter. Never got even glass of water. Noticed others waiting for checks to come and that while some customers were on benches at the front waiting for tables. Plenty of workers there, just seemed a lot of time gabbing at the counter area and not enough time used working the floor. We just got up and quietly left. We'll try some other place next week instead.

would go to the original restaurant in Rio Grand, Ohio years back during vacation travel to S.C. This was the best one we went to and once got to see Mr. Evans himself sitting at the breakfast counter in the early AM. Maybe that's why the food was so good and so was the service. Sorry your morning didn't go so well.

I've some beans in the crock pot and will put brats on the Weber tonight. It's about the only meal I've not figured out how to ruin. All my wife seems to want for Mother's Day is flowers to plant and fresh potting soil so my kids get her that. We tell her she's certainly worth another big bag of dirt. devil happy

Sorry to hear about a poor experience. I hate going to a restaurant and being ignored. Or anywhere for that matter. The other day I was at a pizza place with my better half, the two of us waited about the same time for service, and there was only one other party in the whole place.

I love Bob Evans. I live in Canada, and we don't have any of those restaurants here. I used to go with my parents all the time. Didn't matter what time of day it was, always got breakfast.
