I always thought married people shouldn't be in the military

their minds aren't "on their job", they're thinking (worried about) about the wife/husband and kids.

Why should we drum homosexuals out of the service? Just because your religion says that it is bad? Other religions say it's okay. Does that mean the two religions duke it out to see who wins?

There used to be men, women, colored. Now some colored want "Men, Women, Other" instead. Odd how things change, yet in many ways remain the same.

I saw these when we lived in North Carolina around 1960. There were also "white" and "colored" water fountains. The ones for whites were often for cooled water and the ones for "coloreds" were just ambient temperature. I now see "unisex" rest rooms in a lot of places. I've not figured out what that means. Maybe for hermaphrodites?

That was the restroom designators. Men, Women, Colored. Even into the mid 70's you could see the old "Colored" rooms which were locked up permanently or used as storage area, but the word "Colored" was just whitewashed over, but could still be seen. Nobody put "Darkies" on there except in Josh's over abundant imaginations.

I'm no great fan of homosexuals either (I usually get verbally abused by them no matter what I say) but it seems that this "Christianity" thing gives some people a good excuse to hate others. I've seen the signs: "God hates ****". It's the only sign held by extremist Bible groups that doesn't have a verse and chapter number.

If Jesus Christ had a grave, he'd be rolling it in right now. The man is reported to have told Christians to treat everybody with consideration: "I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me" (Matthew 25:40).

Also, Matthew 7:2: "For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."

Homosexuality is not a "sinful lifestyle", it's a mild mental illness caused during formative years. Hence, why most/all homosexuals seem to have been in abusive situations as children. If you really want to help homosexuals, you should be lobbying the government to improve Child Protection Services and protection schemes for victims of domestic violence. It'll help the next generation a lot more than quoting scripture and distressing grief-stricken families by protesting at funerals.

Stopping domestic violence and child abuse = Practical Christianity
Trying to cure homosexuals by preaching to them = Impractical Christianity
Trying to tell homosexuals that they are bad people and that God hates them = No resemblence to Christianity at all.

Homosexuality is an action, not a condition. Like any action it can be abstained from. God has given us rules on how to express our love, and he's forbidden some means of expressing love, chiefly that of adulterous, incestuous and certain other perverse actions. You can't carve out just one of those, paint it pink, pretty it up on legal paper, and make it become OK. Trying to force the good people who KNOW it's not acceptable to condone it is even worse. No true Christian accepts homosexuality as something Jesus would approve of. No true Christian believes homosexuals who continue in it will inherit the kingdom Jesus promised. But, as the good book tells us, there are a lot of Liars who have gone out into the world, preaching a false gospel.

Jesus Christ had a grave, and he rolled right out of it. Every person he healed who was suffering for their sin he plainly told them "sin no more lest something worse befall thee". He healed them due to their repentance. Romans chapter 1 is fairly explicit in pointing out those who engage in homosexual relations will receive the recompense of their error, which they deserve. It says exactly that.

You aren't arguing with me, since it's not conceived of me, it's from God.
