Ohh, in fact it is the same one in BOL.

I saw nothing wrong with the posts, so there was little I could do.

In the technical forums it is easier. Posts to very old threads offering solutions to long past problems and we will lock and delete, but here and in BOL where anyone is free to join in, then as long as they don't contravene forum policy I have no reason to delete.

There was talk some while ago about the engineers marking posts of a certain age as locked, but time and personnel constraints has ditched that for the time being.

I found that bothering the other day too. Robie was in one, Marcia (probably still alive) in another, and some other names.

By age and number of posts. Once we see a dozen in a row with "due to the depth....", it's done.

...from a new thread. No need to allow the old threads to jump to the front page. Seems it wouldn't be too difficult to put some coding that would make threads older than a year come only so far as page 2, never to page 1.
