deal with. It would be good if we could figure out some way to remove the aggressor vs victim thinking as well as to clarify those of gender related rights. In a sense, both genders are victims of something. We also have old traditions of individual roles. Those are changing slowly on their own. I think we need to recognize that some of these gender roles were actually better for the survival and growth of our species.
I'm fully of the opinion that men and women should share as equally as possible both the benefits and liabilities that come with the ability to bring new lives into the world. Both genders should also be aware that harm may come to themselves or their partners and behave selflessly. So far we've only found one best way to accommodate both male and female health in this regard. Anything else is a workaround but most seem to reject the best way in favor of the alternatives.

and got a great deal of useful information plus condoms, and I wasn't the only guy there. I just don't have any statistics to back it up. This was in 1966 she got a diaphragm and a prescription for the Pill, we'd been going out for 2 years at that point.

if men's services are also provide, why was Viagra able to get coverage by insurance companies (men who lobbied for it????) and get ranked by the FDA as a 'medicine' in order to get that coverage when it's available on the cheap through 'health clinics'? Could it possibly have been because it's too embarrassing an issue for them to take to a public clinic?

NO...not for the man...the men don't want to embarrass their wives.

Even Ms. Fluke noted as much in her address. I'm fairly certain that most of these drugs can be delivered right to your door in plain packaging...to paying customers, anyway. I also suspect the packaging doesn't fool the letter carriers.

considered a disease or a symptom of the treatment for one of several diseases or ailments like the use of SSRI Anti-Depressants, most Blood pressure medication, Diabetes, Age and various other things. Now, in the past, the medical establishment has been overwhelmingly Male. Now that Women Doctors are becoming more numerous, perhaps a hint of reason will enter the realm of prescription, not that it will make much difference with Insurers which are overwhelmingly Male owned, managed, and run.
And if the changes wrought by Age is considered a valid reason for a prescription, why is Youth and Fertility not considered a valid reason for Prescription. There are numerous complications to Pregnancy, besides it perhaps not occurring at a financially manageable time. Equally there are numerous internal conditions for women for which the BCP is the treatment of choice, leaving aside Birth Control altogether. Shame Dr. Bill isn't around to consult on this.
The other element to this is that sexual pleasure is a gift from God, and should be revered as such. The fact that some people misuse it shouldn't eliminate the ability of the vast majority to enjoy it, to space their pregnancies in a financially reasonable and mangeable fashion. Even priests in the Catholic church have been known to advance this argument.
It's not covered by my wife's insurance plan (I take both SSRI's and BP meds) and as a pensioner it's too expensive for me at present. I am hoping that eventually I will be able to afford it.

Last time I heard, men don't get pregnant. As for STD and other remaining issues there are laws that make a parent support the child in one way or another. However, don't ever expect all this will cause them to fall into line just to befit any society standard that has to be meant. In more unlikely terms in a free society these are the wounds we burden ourselves. The tools and outlets are there for use at least informed people have access to them. As the saying goes, "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink". This problem has been around since the beginning of mankind, so you do what you can. -----Willy ![]()

More than 55,000 vasectomies are performed in Canada each year.
What that proves I have no idea...but those are the numbers.

Catholic Religion DOES supersede government mandates. Cool
in the 1940s, health care was not nearly as complex. Then the ethical guidelines for Catholic hospitals fit into a six-page booklet. Now they are 1,000 pages, he said.
in Canada no Catholic institution can be compelled to do things contrary to its mission and values.
But as hospitals specialize and amalgamate, Catholic institutions might end up sending someone to another institution for care the Catholic facility does not provide, he said.
Catholic and non-Catholic alike — fund abortion on demand, even if Catholic hospitals are not forced to perform them.
Have Catholics (Catholic hospital insurance companies) fund abortion without performing them...Isn't that what Obama is trying to do?
You say in Canada Religion supersedes Government and Obama trying to do the same in the US you say it's the Government TRYING TO supersede religion.
you're TRYING TO mess with my head.

>>>Catholic institutions might end up sending someone to another institution for care the Catholic facility does not provide>>>
Might is the key word here...and it seems that it would take a government overreach of their authority to force them into it, just as BO has attempted to do with HIS healthcare program. I suspect that the Catholic church in Canada would fight that there just as they are fighting it here.
>>>Catholic and non-Catholic alike — fund abortion on demand, even if Catholic hospitals are not forced to perform them. >>>> We would be forced to do that via the mandate of Obamacare just as we do now with our tax money being paid to fund PP whether we support it or not. We have no choice in the matter at this point.
>>>Have Catholics (Catholic hospital insurance companies) fund abortion without performing them...Isn't that what Obama is trying to do?>>> Yes, and that's what the Catholic religion is fighting them against. We have a Constitution that won't allow it.

Like I said...you think it's "Cool" in Canada..YET when Obama wants to do the same (You just made that statement) You're crying.
So, Which is it...is it "COOL" Or is it "crying time again/still"?

BO is NOT trying to do the same

YOUR government is NOT mandating that the Catholic church go against their belief and pay for birth control/abortions. BO IS mandating that via the insurance directive to supply it for free....even IF the Catholic church is self-insured thus forcing them to pay for the service because they pay the insurance premiums.
As for the PP funding...that is a separate issue and we, as taxpayers, have no say so in how our taxes are used or abused.
I think you are confused over what our government is TRYING to do compared to what your government HAS done. YOUR government has compromised with the Catholic religion in the correct direction....OUR government is attempting to overreach/overrule our Constitutional 1st Amendment with a mandate.

You're confused over what I said........explain what you mean, since I said it as plainly as I could. If OUR government wins, the Catholic religion would be forced into going against their belief. With YOUR government, the Catholic religion has already won that battle, if there ever even was one, by being exempt.

Catholics in Canada pay taxes...the taxes pay for healthcare....PP and BC and abortions are paid for by healthcare.
WHAT did they win?
WHAT are they "exempt from" that you wouldn't be "exempt from"?
