1. Pirates are not terrorists. They are common criminals.

2. Sometimes you have to throw some bait in the water to get the big catch.

And you could at least spell "Al Qaeda" correctly when making such claims.

Al Qaeda may be egging them on but that doesn't mean the pirates are Al Qaeda operatives or even share their "philosophy."

What you linked to is an entirely different phrase. "Al Qaeda" means "The Base," not "Divine Will."

when there is an expentancy of an appearance for a trial. NONE of these people will be returning to stand trial and even the 'court' dropped all charges once they received the 'bail'. The precendent set here is immeasurable because now ANY country can hold our citizens for ransom and call it 'bail' since it worked in Egypt successfully, and you can bet that it will be repeated. The pirates do this all the time....but most times that ransom is paid by private citizens to get their loved ones back at any price. I can only think of one time that a COUNTRY put up the money, I believe it was the UK, to get some people back a while ago. And there are still hundreds of people who have never been freed because the ransoms haven't been paid, and they've been held for years already.
