Let's face it, Christianity is really weird. It is supposed to be a monotheistic religion but then we have this character that is created by God making a woman pregnant with a boy (which we know she can't create on her own). Now what is this boy - a demigod - like Hercules? Then there was this whole argument about whether he was wholly God or wholly Man or half and half. Then the "Christians" proceeded to kill people wholesale that didn't believe just like they did - whether it was a different religion or not the right flavor of Christianity (sound familiar?).

Let's face it, the whole religion is very strange.

I just wish everyone did. If I had one wish, I would wish that every child conceived would be wanted and loved and cared for by both parents.

I just believe that some people shouldn't have kids and I would rather a mother abort a baby than beat it to death at 2 or totally ignore it so he or she goes out to gangs to find a family.

I know that you say that there are a lot of people that want to adopt (although a lot of those that oppose abortion don't seem to be interested in the kid after it's born) but they want babies or those poor orphans overseas. There are so many kids in foster care that would love to have a family but never will. They are thrown out at 18 with very few skills and no backup.

I remember, pre-abortion, an 18-month old baby boy. He was a blond-haired, blue-eyed beautiful toddler that was considered vertually unadoptable because he was too old. I often wondered how he faired. I was in high-school at the time.

My husband and I were on the adoption list in Tulsa and we said we would take older children and even siblings but we were interviewed and passed but never were talked to about children to adopt for over a year and I became pregnant and they dropped us. I wonder how many had our experience. We moved not to long after my oldest was born.

I have read about specific genes determining hair color, eye color etc... But, I wonder is there a specific gene that determines homo/hetro sexuality in the two genders?
