Trouble with MS Word 2003 TABLES:

Greetings,

I recently created a standard table with multiple columns and rows. When trying to change cell text alignment, say from LEFT to CENTER, the text aligned to the right of center. When I tried changing text alignment to RIGHT, the text disappeared entirely, presumably to the right of the cell.

Why is this happening, please?

And found many explanations. Mostly that it was supposed to do that. Usually this is another effect you might cure with renaming NORMAL.DOT.
