upgrading from outlook 97 to outlook 2010 contacts?

I am helping a friend who is blind and he is using J-say and Naturally Dragon Speaking to manage his computer. I need to transfer his contacts from outlook 97 to a new PC and outlook 2010. I can't find anything online on how to do this. Can anyone help?

And I vaguely recall there is an export feature/menu. You'll have to look around but don't count on any detailed support with documented menus and more.

Here I've learned to look for the export and learned to export in all formats provided so I can have the best chance of getting the contacts into the next system.
