need help for excel!

Anyone can help? I'm using Office 2007. Once I save the document and re-open, the format and wording everything in disorder. Anyone know how to solve this? I have to rearrange everything all the times.

Very strange. Does this happen on ALL workbooks, only ONE workbook or only ONE worksheet of ONE workbook?

Then the next question: what is the file type (extension)?

In a .xls or .xlsx file formatting is kept. A .csv file, which is by default opened by Excel also, only contains data and no formatting. So if you open a csv file, format it and save it as csv file again, all formatting you did is lost. So, whatever the type of the file, if you save it as .xlsx or .xls it should be opened correctly next time.

it's a .xls format. I can't recall when it starts to become like this.

The details don't really matter (something to do with printer selections) but one of the fixes was to open the old document, then a new document (and mind you, if some can't swap document for spreadsheet they need more help than I can give today.)

With both old and new open I'll select all, copy in the old doc then paste that into the new document then save the new document.

Then I'll make a backup copy once in awhile just in case.
